GRAFT EXPERIMENT (part two)
UNTITLED (POSTMODERNISM) 400x320cm, ½” inch Zinc water pipes, wood 2011-12
The second stage Untitled (Postmodernism) is an installation of 160 water pipes collected from junk dealers. I organised them in a vertical drawing, making a sort of wall where every line is combined next to the other according to the chromatic nuances of the rusts and through a geometric effort despite the crooked forms of the pipes (twisted by the force of the water passed through them). Fascinated about the living underground network of a city I imagined its sudden interruption associating it to the postmodernist feeling of a monumental flood and inability to line up.
